Halswell Health

Halswellhealth is a large General Practice which is split over 3 sites. Our original site at 36 Ensign Street has been operating since 1973. Our Longhurst site opened in 2015 and our third site at Prebbleton opened in December 2022.

We are an Accredited Teaching Practice (the Royal New Zealand College of GPs) and are members of the Christchurch Primary Health Organisation (CPHO).

Each team member will generally work across 2 of our three sites – either Ensign / Longhurst or Prebbleton / Longhurst. We have a large team of staff and we are able to offer the full range of General Practice Services.

Halswellhealth has a commitment to the ongoing professional development of staff. Doctors, nurses and the administration team regularly participate in professional development opportunities to ensure they are able to provide high quality healthcare.
