There are a number of large parks in Halswell. These are Quarry Park, Westlake Park, the Halswell Domain, and Curletts Reserve.
Residents’ Representatives offer an opportunity for residents to participate in decision-making for their neighbourhood, and are part of or have formal recognition by the City Council.

It includes a library with varied spaces for a range of activities, several large meeting rooms, inclusive community spaces and a Christchurch City Council Customer Service desk.

Halswell is served by several bus routes and timetables can be picked up from the service desk at Te Hāpua the library.

Halswell Community Hub is a vibrant community space available for use by the community for a variety of activities. The Hub is fully accessible and consists of a large community space and several office areas available for hire with a fully equipped kitchen and toilets with changing facilities. We welcome enquiries from individuals, groups and organisations interested in using the
space.
