Create Together: Whānau Drop-in This monthly drop-in session is an opportunity for families to learn together and explore our creative STEAM equipment. We will have a different creative focus each session.  Held on the first Wednesday of each month. No registration required. This is a free event but a small charge for materials may apply. Please note that some creative items may have to be picked up at a later date. Wednesday 2 October, 3.30-5pm

Saturday Storytimes Have you missed our normal Wā Kōrero-Storytimes? Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, crafts, and fun on Saturdays! The whole whānau are welcome to attend, we will have a half hour Storytimes session followed by a fun craft. Held on the first Saturday of the month. Free, no bookings required. Biketober Reflect & Ride Workshop: Design Your Own Custom Safety Vest - 8-12 years Design your own safety vest! Cut your creation from reflective vinyl and heat press it onto a safety vest, so you can ride safely and stylishly. $27, online booking required; vests provided. Thursday 10 October, 1-3.30pm

Creative Stitching Join us to explore creative mending, upcycling, repurposing and more! We'll help you breathe new life into your old, worn-out, or forgotten materials. Whether it’s transforming a bedsheet into a stylish tote bag or using visible mending techniques to repair a beloved but holey top. Free, no registration required. Please note – in these sessions we can only provide introductory help with hand and machine sewing. Photo Hunt 2024 Help tell the story of life in Christchurch at this drop-in digitisation event as part of Photo Hunt 2024 and be in to win prizes. Bring your photos along and share their history with us. We'll digitise your photos and enter them into Photo Hunt 2024. Upcycled Jewellery Breathe new life into old materials at one of our Upcycled Jewellery events. Upcycling is a great way to prevent unwanted items from ending up in landfill and this is a fun and creative way to be sustainable.  All materials supplied.
