From Paper to Pixel touring exhibition
An exploration of the local history content that has been collected, digitised and made available online by Christchurch City Libraries over the past 20 years.
Every day during the month of September
Seed Pot Making
Reuse and recycle in Sustainable Spring by coming along to learn how to make newspaper seed pots with our Seed Pot Maker Kit!
We’ll also be folding newspaper pots with origami and by using a tin of food! Then plant up a seed, take it home and watch it grow!
You can also make plant tags out of recycled materials.
All materials supplied.

This a free drop in session, anyone over 5yrs of age welcome
(children under 8 years to be accompanied by an adult)
The Great Library Seed and Plant Swap
Got some leftover seeds or seedlings?
Bring them in to your library to share with the community!
We welcome vegetable, herb, flower, native and heritage seeds - and you can even bring any spare seedlings you have potted up.
Thanks to Trees For Canterbury, we have some plants to get you started!

Reading To Dogs
This wonderful programme is designed to provide a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere which encourages children to practise their reading skills and develop a love of reading.
The programme uses dogs who are the beloved, trained pets of the Christchurch City Council Animal Management team.
